Though the Nike Air Max 97 is no stranger to 3M, with its trademark 3M piping, this Nike Air Max 97 Gold is one of the few Nike styles that has not received a more extensive 3M treatment. This has apparently changed. New pics of sample completely 3M reflective Nike Air Max 97s recently hit the Net. Taking the 3M normally found on the piping a step further, these 'Medicom' Dunk like Nike Air Max 97s feature a Metallic Silver upper that reflects when exposed to light. In addition to the 3M upper, the '3M' 97 features non-traditional flat laces (as opposed to the normal round running laces), a leather interior, and a translucent sole.
